Hey guys, I posted about this a few days ago but I was a little vague. So, here we go again. I just got my motor back and installed it about a week ago, I connected every plug and I think every ground on the car. Now, I tried to start the car last week and it turned over fine and when I shot some starting fluid in the intake I heard the motor fire and try to start so I left it alone for the weekend. The fuel lines weren't hooked up at that point so I assumed that it would simply fire off and I could troubleshoot idle and stuff later after I hooked up the fuel lines. However, somewhere in the week long gap that I didnt' work on it, something went wrong. I had spark before but now I'm not getting any spark from the coil. I used a voltmeter and check the coil, condenser, and transistor. Everything has power running to it but when I hook a spark plug to the side that plugs into the dizzy and ground it and turn the motor over, there is no spark at all. So, one would think, it's the coil. And I did, so I went to the junk yard and got what I was told is a working coil. Again, I have the same problem, no spark. So tonight I looked all over the harness and engine bay for grounds that weren't connected. And I found one on the back of the alternator. I Tightened it down and still the coil wouldn't produce a spark. I've checked all of the fuses, and all of the relays have continuity so I'm sure I can rule all of that out. The only thing I haven't tried is taking the dizzy apart. I read somewhere that there is a ring with 360 teeth on it that is used with the cam angle sensor. I may be wrong. But I can't seem to find any info on it, and i'm exhausted. Anyway, if anybody has any insight or knowledge that they could share, i'd really appreciate it. Just to recap, the car is a 93 hatchback with a ka24de and a 5 speed.
