Long time lurker, first time posting!

So here's the deal;

'93 Nissan 240sx S13 project car,Currently trying to solve the idle issue so I have the idea to change the fuel pump.

I buy a new fuel pump, put it in and now it's not turning. She wants to sooooo bad it's so close. **I need to mention that I accidentally left the battery unplugged, I was unexpectally sent off for work for about 2 weeks** (I've recently charged it)

I had a friend take of my cold air intake and have him stick his hand over it, and it was starting up 30% of the time.... so I believe it's either not getting enough air or fuel.

There's something really small I must be missing! Hopeful someone can advise me in the right direction.

Btw I've replaced plugs and fuses

Thanks!

Your friend stuck his hand over what?

Sounds like you need to determine if its getting too much fuel or too little. If you go to crank it and it wont start, pull the fuel pump fuse, and then crank it a little while longer. That should help clear the cylinders and drop the pressure in the rail... if it fires up momentarily and then shuts off, you know you're getting too much fuel, and you possibly have a fuel pressure regulator issue. If it doesn't start at all, then you're not getting enough fuel.
Not enough fuel can also be confirmed by using some starting fluid or something to get that momentary startup condition.

Is the IACV operating correctly? Giving it ample air to match the fuel injected with colder temps.

I had a similar issue with my B13, and after two days... it was the IACV being stuck mechanically, the electrical actuation was fine. You can check the IACV with a 9V battery if needed.

Let us know the outcome!
