I recently bought a 93 s13 and the battery died a couple times. I realized that the positive cable off of the battery was horribly corroded. I replaced the cable and the battery and it started up fine. After a little bit it started dying out and after it stalled it wouldnt start back up. I figured it was the alternator and i put jumper cables on the car, started it up, took the cables off and while it was running i took the cable off of the battery and it immediately stalled. I was wondering if there are any other wires coming out of the stock battery cable running to the alternator that i need to know about? I was thinking maybe there are cables from the battery that run to the alternator that i dont know about. Help?

first make sure your cables are good. I'll bet the contacting points at your battery tray is pretty rusted huh? The cables to the battery are easy to replace. Replace those with some good 4 gauge and new terminals. Give that a shot first, then go get that alternator replaced. I reckon unless you've already replaced one before, that you'll need to get it replaced sooner or later also...
