first it locked up so the belt smoked, so I turned off the AC and it got quiet, then I turn it back on and it just clicks on but doesnt compress anymore, blows warm. Some people say thats the clutch others say its the compressor. So I got a compressor from a junkyard and will put it in tomorrow, anything else I should know , if its the clutch id rather swap just that and keep the original compressor on there.

compressor seized. you need to also replace the reciever/drier ,with a new one, since its a filter.

id say compressor, see if the clutch engages when you turn it on

and if at all posible, i would try not to vent the refrigerant when you do it, its better to have a shop suck it out.

its on the high pressure side mounted near the condensor. It looks like a huge bullet. with 2 lines going in the top of it.

Bad news, I replaced the receiver drier, and the compressor/clutch with a junkard model. the store evacuated and filled the system for me but now nothing happens electrically. the green led does not go on on the button and the relay doesnt click. I am really on a tight budget so if somebody could give me a electrical workflow diagnosis to follow or knows what the problem is please help. I have a ohmmeter so I can test continuities. I guess the most likely culprit is the wire to the clutch.

check all your fuses se if maybe you blew one. also make sure you plugged the compressor in and the high pressure switch is plugged back in.

light no come on? def a power prob. crap, we need to find you a wiring diagram.http://www.zeroyon.com/TheSite/techservice.htmlgo there and get your fsm. then you can find the wiring diagram to track down your prob.

nistech, you may want to get some of those too. i have most of them. i know you dont deal with non-usdm cars much, but it is cool to have around.
