Still waiting for my (prev. owner) friend to send me the owner's manual to the car I bought a month ago. [Why people take these out of their new cars in the first place is something I will never understand]. But anyway I didn't know traction control was also available on some '93 models, I thought it was first avail. only on 94's and later as an option - If I am mis-informed, how do I tell if my '93 base-model Q is equipped w/ it?

Look for another throttle body in front of the one on the plenum.

Reviewing the lights in the dashboard would light up a TCS notice.

TCS (Traction Control) was available on the '92 Q. I own one.The button in the center console says TCS if you have it.

Or you can just go drive around in some dirt and figure it out

Ok- I looked at the lights in the control panel as you said - I didn't see anything w/ TCS there - you're not referring to the message center in the lower left hand corner of the instrument panel, are you? Also the throttle body you were referring to: there is a cable that routs from the dual-linkage throttle plates located at the junction where the black plastic intake duct joins the plenum around to another throttle plate linkage located on the other side (lower left side) of the plenum - there is no TCS switch anywhere in the cockpit, however - - - - - - -

Perelli-TCS was offered beginnig in '91 I think, one of my first Qs had it. The other thing to look for is a TCS actuator on the passenger side, between the battery and the wheel well hump, next to the black fuse box.Paul
