Where is the neutral switch located on a 1993 Q45t and how difficult is it to change? Any suggestions or is this a "take it to the dealer" fix it? I am thinking it is the neutral switch cuz on occassion it won't start but if you move the automatic gear shift then it will start right up.

The inhibitor switch is located in the gear shifter assembly.... It probably just needs adjusted or the contacts cleane.d

I always thought that the Inhibitor switch was on the transmission itself.

P.S.- On G20 transmissions,(P10), the grommet in the linkage cable at the inhibitor switch end tends to break down over time, causing a "no start" situation unless you bump the shifter a little.

(Direction in which the shifter must be "bumped" depends on which side of the grommet has broken down)

whoops my bad, looks like I had a nomenclature issue.. There was something in the shifter assy that needs to be checked, i know ive heard of it but i cant remember what its called.... dont have FSM with me.....

But good advice indeed anlasak, i agree with you.
