Fuel economy ftw, that's why I walk or bum a ride from my woman every day now
Park idle, drive idle and thats it.I remember looking somewhere on how to clean the MAF sensor maybe that would be it?ppastos wrote:I suspect a MAF issue for the idle.
Also have a MAF for sale if interested.
Check the Rack and the fluid for it.
Look for ripped, dry rotting dust boots for the Rack.
Look and smell of PS fluid.
When does it make the sound EX: at idle, when driving...
You know what i deserve to be called the most irresponsible person right now.Awhile back i hit a curb and my boot tore up.This was in June or something.I forgot about it ever since.I'll repair ASAP. Im so mad now F**K!!!!ppastos wrote:Here is how to clean the MAF: http://q45.org/maf.html
Also on the MAF look at the connector and pins and see if there "straight like a square" Never thought I would say that, And its an Oxymoron.
Just look under your car at the front wheels, have them straight
Have them turned to the left and look at the right boot
Then turn to the right and look at the left boot.
Then touch the boot and look to see if its cracked or broken.
If so repair immediately, then flush PS fluid to get all the crap that been sucked in to the system from not protection.
We had a legit mechanic look at it.He been fixing my dads cars for years and done engine swaps for him etc.So thats about it how much are the boots any idea?Might as well replace both?ppastos wrote:Yea PS fluid means power steering fluid.
I don't judge people or try not to some times.
But that sucks big time how do you know that you just tore up the boot and didn't bend anything?
Should have it looked at it ASAP.
I have a 1991 Q45 rack that I took of the other 1991 Q45 But I am saving it for my Q to put in some day, But if you need Baaad then I might give it up.
Dont scare me. Well I'll be tlaking to my teacher to see if we can do all this to get to my injectors. What should all injectors Ohm at?[email protected] wrote:My '94 was doing the same thing. Could not figure it out, but it finally got bad enough the engine would barely run. This went on for about a year. It was a bad injector. The car would not idle under 1K, and finally the injector jammed open and was flooding the engine so bad that I could barely get it to the shop. To replace the injector was around $850 total---most of it labor because the intake manifold has to be pulled to get to the injectors.
I knew that.ppastos wrote: http://q45.org/ohminjectors.html
