So I'm looking for a good exhuast system.I got magnaflow, flowmasters, and dynomax.

Which would you prefer?Or any other good brand?

Im looking for an affordable and deep tone sound type.Hopefully deletes the raspy.

My idea was to replace them with the Nissan cats and then just run pipes with tips.

Orice would be helpful of muffler thanks.

Seeing how the OEM muffler is stainless steel and never wears out..........

Might want to search and read before you post as there is a lot of information posted on this site, especially by Q45tech.

Go Flowmaster! I had 40 series on my 91, and man did it sound good! Almost has the American muscle sound to it.

I put the flowmasters right between the axles and the cats. then straight pipe the rest of the way. Any monkey can weld. but can you weld good is the question. yes you can.

Lasoyafan did a rear muffler delete (basically too the rear section off) and just ran two pipes back. It sounds great. Nice deep tone. I changed out the rear muffler and it sounded ok. Then when I fould our there were lots of holes in the exhaust due to rust, I changed out the pipes. I took off my secondary cats and stock resonators. I then replaced the pipes and added in two aftermarket resonators. Sounds decent as well. IMO, that ebay muffler would not do you the justice that the Q deserves.

You're going to need to get it smogged Berner in about another 18 months. Drive a sleeper and keep the neighbors (and the popo) happy. Spend your money on a NICO ECU and 1st gear start TCU.

Generally Flowmasters have a much higher back pressure than straight thru designs even though they can sound louder. The multiple reflective design twists and turns the sound [pressure] wave in multiple directions before exiting.

The brand with the absolute lowest restriction is the Walker UltraFlow.

Lower than OEM? Does it require a lifetime supply of Bayer aspirin?

I've had my car with no muffler for awhile and been pulled over twice none said anything. But I think ima go with straight pipes and chrome tips.Sounds more legal then replacing.

I guess my final option would be straight pipes to fit my budget with 3inch tips or maybe 2.5.I'll post pictures I think im getting it done soon.Maybe next month thats if i dont get the junction produce neck pad deal i got.

We are not under the C.A.R.B. thing or whatever. We have to have cats, and pass smoke test on 95 and older; 96 and newer have to pass OBD II scan. That's why I do not want anything newer than 95.

I've had very good experiences with Magnaflow mufflers on multiple cars. They tend to bring out a clean, powerful, deep sound without an invasive drone and without being too loud. Definitely no rasping. My Q has Magnaflow mufflers, as do my Maxima and my dad's Ram 1500 (5.9 liter). The Ram is pretty loud, but that's mainly because it's a truck. The Maxima is just about right volume-wise, and I actually wish the Q was a little louder.

if you can weld it yourself under the car, YOU ARE GOOD, ITS SUPER EASY 1 HOUR WORK

I actually had mine installed by a shop.

I chose to install 2 cats and 2 mufflers. I had my mufflers tucked up way as high as it can be because I told the guy i was going to lower the car. Its nice, sits right in front of the rear sway bar.

I actually chose 2cats/2mufflers not because I wanted to pass smog (I pass smog any day! ALL DAY)

... but because its quiet enough...... Magnaflow is loud and I think the loudness of my exhaust is absolutely perfect with a growl so awesome that THREE of my neighbors down the street got exhaust on there car after I got mine.

MAGNAFLOW BABY........ I think they sound better than FLOW masters too

NO raspyness..... sounds like a camaro, put cheapest cheap gas and it sounds like a mad camaro!

Oh yea $525 for the whole install.... I also wish my Q was a wee bit louder sometimes, but i need it to be quiet enough to sneak through neighborhoods

How can some one do that to a car like that A Q45a no less, Some of us take our cars for granted.

To me a Q45a is something that should never be abused.

No offense, but why are all of your posts so poorly written and hard to read? Frequently it is hard to understand what you are trying to communicate.
