Well my earlier posting here seems to have fixed my transmission's strange behavior, now on to the less important stuff. (did not do anything, it just has behaved for months now)

The Cruise Control has never worked on my car since I purchased it.

The light on the button lights up but the light in the dash doesn't.

If I push both the cruise control on button on the dash and any of the wheel mounted buttons at the same time, the green light in the dash will flash till I push the cruise control off button on the dash.

So is the vacuume pump bad? or the electronics? (everything is connected right under the hood as far as I can see)

Thanks much

possibly the switch on the brake pedal for cruise. You should have 2 switches on the brake pedal one is for the brake lights and shift lock solonoid. the other is for your cruise. figure out which one is for the brake lights and which is for the cruise. to do this turn your key to the run position, get your self under the dash in such a position your rest your shoulder weight applying the brake pedal. now with your hand reach up and push the buttons on the switches one at a time. Which ever one causes an audible clicking int the center console is your brake light switch. The other is your cruise. pull that switch out and use an ohm meter to test for continuity when its pressed, unless you are really good and can get your test leads on it in the car.

This task will not be easy it is a real pain to get to those switches.
