93 Q45, Chain rattling noise, source?

93 Q45, didn't have this noise when i bought it at 120k. Its now got 128k, i've used mobil1 0w40 and changed it twice so far. I recently took off the front cover to replace the notorious chain guides but upon visual inspection they were 100% intact and metal backed from the factory. So i sent back my chain guide kit, and put her back together. The noise is still there, possibly louder now. Tension on the chains seemed good. What could possibly make such a noise? Thanks

Weak tensioner would be my guess.

I had a rattling noise that I thought was the chain guides for a long time, but it actually ended up being the a/c compressor's clutch wobbling. You might run the engine while taking a look at that and see if it's the same issue.
