More info:Do you mean the engine does not turn over or the engine turns over but wont start? Is it a manual or auto?Does it have a factory alarm system?

Did you by any chance remove the battery cables when replacing the cap/rotor; if so, then check the battery posts and cables ends for corrosion.

If you didn't touch the battery cables, then you must have disturbed some electrical connections. Go back and retrace your steps.

Maybe the battery just died.

These pathfinders are notorious for having problems with the factory alarm controller. There is 2 plugs under your dash that have identical wires in them but the connectors they are plugged into have more multi colored wires. The 2 connectors are identical. Take the 2 multi colored connectors and plug them into each other and retry it. It may be your problem. The connetors are coming from the ignition switch. The less collered wire connectors or the subharness split in for the alarm to the main harness.
