Hey guy's been awhile since I have been on here, but I am getting a 93 TT today, Its got a I am hoping a fuel issue.. The Previous owner ran it out of fuel ( It has a Walbro 255 pump ).. Now the car will idle fine, but once you give it gas, or try to build boost it's basicly starving itself.. Now he has said that he did a Pressure test and did it before the filter and was only showing 13psi.

So after doing some research I found that it may be in the FPCU, or is the pump just toast now ? I havent really heard of pump just trickling fuel I have always seen them either work or not?

I am getting ready as soon as he gets here with it, test the voltage coming from the pump.. But is there anywhere else I should look? or should I just go ahead and buy a new pump ?

Fuel pressure should be ~43 psi at idle so something is definitely not right. I haven't heard of too many FPCU's going out, but I supposed its a possibility. I would test the pump first though. It's possible he bought a knockoff Walbro and not a genuine one, or he's lying and it's actually some cheap crap.

Also since he ran it out of gas, I would change the fuel filter too just because.

Yea found out the car sit for a while and the tank was never cleaned out, when P.O ran it out of fuel it basicly clogged the filter now I have the lean out of it now its rich..

Before I go any further I will go ahead and say the motor is new it has 40K miles on it, Coil packs were replaced ( I just did a OHM test all tested good )

I have no Service light on.. I haven't had time to check the code's manually on the ECU I will do that tonight.. But he also has some things unplugged as well he has it in a safe boost setup at 7 PSI.. But when you even get boost at that it cuts fuel, and has a bad rich smell.. Also it takes a minute to even crank the car.. He says I need to plug up the boost solenoid? to return it to stock parameters..

Also at idle she is running at 0 oil pressure, but give it gas it goes up to around 60ish..

Could this be causing the issue?

Don't like double posting but, just did a ECU code test it popped 55 BUTTTT

Written on the ECU it says Auto TT.. I have a feeling I may have just found the issue ? Mines a 5 speed
