93 nissan 240sx wont idle correctly, were do I start looking

93 nisson 240sx taken out of storage last weekend. Wouldnt start at first. Check plugs, coil, distributor all were ok. Looked at injectors, seemed to be ok. Had my wife turn over engine, no fuel to Injectors. replaced fuel filter, then check fuel pump, not working. Replaced fuel pump. Started first time key turned, but runs rough, car almost shakes. Smoke coming out of tail pipe especially when you push on the gas pedal. hesitates when you first push on gas pedal. When you try to start it you have to pump gas pedal slightly, never had to do that before. Where do I start checking

How long was it in storage and how old is the gas in it?

was in storage for 8-10 months, fuel tank read emptyI put 5 gallons of gas in it before starting to work on it

had a rough idle in my s14 and it fixed it, so worth a shot
