Title says it all. KA24DE. The car will burn a **** ton of oil only at about 5.5k to redline and keep puffing smoke for about 15 seconds after that. Happens both at WOT and part throttle. Valve seals? Rings?

The best idea for getting it to stop burning oil at redline, is to not rev it to redline. The KA is not a high revving motor. If you want a high rev motor, buy a sportbike.

Bingo, it was way overfilled. I drained some oil and added lucas oil stabilizer and viola. Hasn't done it since. Thanks moulton.

And to MaximA32, I have an R6 actually lol. 15k redline FTW. I RARELY take the 240 to redline actually. I did it once to merge onto the freeway and another time to show my (mechanic) buddy what I was talking about.
