my sister just bought a 93 maxima and it has the keypad entry on the doors, but we don't know the code. is there anyway to reset the code and make up our own or what? thanks guys. my sister has a reputation of locking her keys in the car this would be great.

Yes. There's a built in "master code" for each car. Any Nissan dealership should be able to find that for you--all they need is your VIN. Once you have that code, you can set your own as well.
