Recently acquired a 93 Maxima and after registering it took it for a ride. I noticed when starting, it sounded like it was laboring to start, as if the battery was weak. So I put charger on battery after pulling cables and cleaning them and the posts. It was a little low on charge and after an hour on 10 amp charge, it was fully charged. I put the cables back on and car has not started since. It will crank strong but will not run. Tried a brand new battery, and same thing. Is there a fuel pump rest switch hidden somewhere, or is it possible that I have damaged the computer module? Please help!! Where do I start?

Doubt you have any problems with the computer. Problems of this nature can be related to injectors, fuel pump and maf. I do not believe there is a reset option for the fuel pump.

When you turn the car on (not cranking) do you hear the fuel pump turn on in the back?

Sorry, was away for the weekend. I'll check for pump turning on this afternoon. Thanks!

With ignition on, I could hear pump pressurizing fuel line. I was able to strart and run motor, but it would only start if I held accellerator to the floor. It ran very rough, but only with pedal to the floor. As soon as I let up on gas it died.????

Make sure your MAF is plugged in tight. Try jiggling the connector to see if that makes a difference.

Was able to keep motor running with foot off the gas today but had to let it warm up for 5-10 min. holding accellerator down. Was idling very rough and at 600 RPM. Almost sounds like exhaust is blocked.

That sounds like the issue could be timing related. When was the last time you had the timing belt changed? How many miles on the car?

Timing belt and water pump done at 100k. 130k now. Almost seems like exhaust blockage. New resonator installed just before I noticed hesitant accelleration. Cat is still original, I'm wondering if it may be clogged. Might try to separate exhaust just after resonator this weekend to see if that's it.
