The 92-94 SE has the VE30DE. They are commonly known to have VTC issues which click when they go bad. They'll eventually get so bad that the engine will sound like a diesel from such bad clicking. They can be grounded to temporarily fix the issue, rebuilt to permanently fix it, or you can replace the engine with a low mileage JDM VE (since yours has such low mileage I wouldn't really consider replacing the engine unless something breaks).
There's a slight chance it could be a hydraulic lifter and would be due to the oil being drained to the pan while the engine is off due to the oil filter not having the proper valve to prevent this, which I believe is said to be a possible cause of the VTC's demise as well.
First thing I would do is check the oil filter. If its a low end filter like a basic Fram, have it changed. You want something with the anti drain back valve. Wix/Napa Gold is a popular choice, the upper end Fram X2 and Tough Guard filters seem to be decent. That could help your problem out if it does have a cheap filter/low end filter.
As far as the Bose radio, they have a bad tendency of dieing. The best thing to do would be to just take out all of the Bose stuff and replace them. New headunit and speakers and it will work great.
The stock Bose speakers all have their own amplifiers so you'll want to bypass those by connecting the two small wires at each terminal directly to the replacement speakers. The two large wires are power for the amps and are not needed (can be disabled). You can either pull the plug out of the amp or I believe you should be able to pull the fuse as well, I can't remember for sure. I believe there is a separate Bose fuse for the speakers, if so just pull that to disable the amps. Its been a while since I've messed with them so I can't remember for sure.
