Got everything to point where I am putting motor into truck. Now to solve wiring problem? Will truck computer still run this engine? Truck was a single cam, now have dual cam motor and can I swap parts from old single cam motor over so connectors match? If I pull ECU from under truck seat I am looking at seperating wiring under dash that goes to run stuff in the dash also.

Anyone completed this swap? I read where someone claims to be running truck ECU from SOHC to run the DOHC, maybe just swapped the distributor as I think there is a difference in connectors. I need to go look at both my distributors to confirm.

Yes I found the ECU. I took the whole bench seat out to give me room.

So does anyone have experience doing this swap? The computers have different connectors. 97 Truck has bires running from ECU up thru firewall to engine. But my problem is it also branches back under dash and is hooked to gauges and who knows what? Looks like I will have to strip dash and untangle this mess.

Anybody short cut and just use ECU and cut and solder connectors at engine?

Distributor is diff. plug.Injectors look to be same plug.

Just looking for easier way, not wanting to rewire entire truck if I don't have to.
