I just replaced the head gasket on my 240. Now, when i try to start it, it'll turn over, but it doesnt crank at all. I've been reading around and some people have suggested timing, and even that the MAF might be bad. I tried unplugging the MAF, but same situation. I think i read that if the distributor is not set correctly, this may happen. Any ideas?

if it ran before and all you did was head gasket then you have rather an engine timing or ignition timing issue. if it is an engine timing issue (cams not lined up correctly) i would not dare to try and crank the motor with the starter. if you are too far off you will definitely end up with some bent valves or even worse, busted pistons. if it is ignition timing use the search and you will find a full wright up on ign timing.
