I have a 1993 j30t that stalled while driving and wouldn't restart. A mechanic said my fuel injectors were bad so I replaced them and still no start. Now I am not getting spark and don't know why. help!!!!!

Your so call mechanic is so full of shxx, you get six injectors, they don't all go bad at once, even 2 die at the same time, it still won't stall, and will probably start. If you are sure you get fuel, go get the code from the ECM, and start from there, your mass air flow sensor could be the cause of your problem, good luck.

The ecm code is 55 which I understand to mean there is no problem, and how would I check the mass air flow sensor.

do you hear the fuel pump priming whenever you turn your key to the on position without cranking it up? If you dont hear it then your pump is bad.

First download the FSM from there and look up the section on testing the MAF sensor, it will tell you how, not that i don't want to tell you here, there is a pic in there that i don't know how to put it here to show you.

I would like to know what else can cause no spark so I can check them all at once. Thanx

Well, there are quite a few thing in the car can cause "no spark", like crankshaft pos sensor, MAF sensor, power transistor, of course the ECU and more, and any wiring to and from those sensors.Again, how sure are you that you are getting fuel. Also check the timing belt.

I believe that checking the fuses and the ecu is more important to do than taking apart things that may not have anything to do with your problems, because you can easily damage a MAF sensor if you do it carelessly, but its hard to do any damage checking fuses and pulling codes. Should start with basic things b/f tackling the complicated ones
