93 j30t Alternator removal
93 j30t Alternator removal
Is this a hard job? I've heard that the alternator is in a tight sopt. Can anyone please tell me exactly where it's located, and if possible does anyone have or know where i can find some sort of instruction manual for the repair. Also i'm interested in a High Output ALT for this car, where can I but one. Thanks in advance

No offense, but you don't really know where it is??!! It's right up front on the engine, just like in any other car. Looks like a big electric motor. Try to get a service manual off Ebay (not those CDs). The service manual can usually be had for about $30 on Ebay. It has a LOT of information.
It's definitely a DIY job, tight fit or not. I haven't replaced mine so I don't have recommendations on which high-output alternator to get or where to get it from. I think someone on here put a Q45 alternator (higher output than the J30) on a J30 but don't quote me on that.
