I have a 1993 J30. This is my first Infiniti and it was love at first sight. I was smitten after the first test drive. I was driving home from work the other day and turned a corner and the transmission started slipping. I have had no problems prior to this. I pulled over and shut of the engine, waited a few minutes and everything seemed fine for about another couple of miles and the same thing happened again. I shut it off again and waited and now the transmission will not engage in any gear. No reverse no drive, nothing. I ran the Self Diagnostics and the light starts flashing, but there are no pauses or any changes in flash length. It just blinks very fast. At the suggestion of the local Infiniti Dealer, I changed the transmission filter and fluid. The old fluid was red and did not smell burnt. The filter was actually fairly clean, there was some buildup but not bad. I checked the pan for metal shavings and did not see any. Everything looked really clean. I do not have any transmission service records. (I bought this car from the original owner and he took very good care of it. Engine service has been well documented, just can't find anything on the transmission) Can anyone tell me what to try next? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. This is an excellent forum by the way, probably the most informative forum I have ever joined.
thanksScott
