are the trannys the same for a standard j30 and a j30T??? i have a T and found a transmission outta of a regular j 30 will it work ?

Hi, I would appreciate if you can give me any tips and hints on how to change the A/T Fluid. I bought the oil strainer and I want to get rid of the old oil as much as I can. I know that the torque converter holds about 2 liters or 2-1/8 qt. How do you flush the A/T entirely ?

well after getting the transmission home and opening it up to put in a new filter i found metal shavings on the mag in the pan and the valve body covered in a gray sludge so im taking it back and the search continues for a good transmission
