Please help > I just bought a 93 J30t. from Canada with about 120K miles.Nice car and drives well in the morning. But after 10 minutesor so, it suddenly lacks power.Takes a while to pick up revs and cannot even climb hills.

Sometimes, it suddenly picks up and runs normally for miles and miles in highways but in town, it is back to sluggishness at traffic lights.

Me and non professionals have tinkered with plugs, used airflow meters, fuel filters, but we have not tried

1/ a new air flow meter cos they are so expensive and non returnable,2/ the computer (ECM )?3/ timing4/ plug wires5/ new fuel pump

Havent yet found a dealer in Manhattan , Bronx or Queens ,NewYork City. so please help or direct me to an expert or dealer in my area.

I prefer if you could diagnose this on line for me .

How's the MAF?

Fuel sending unit (not pump)?

If rev climbs and your not getting any power likely a transmission issue. Oe of the sensors needs replacing. That's a hard one to get a trouble code for. You basically need to drive it with the scan tools attached.
