Thanks for the info.
I'm not opposed to filling up early anyway. My mechanic back home, Gene at GT Automotive in Kansas City, always told me keep it above 1/2. He said that this would eliminate most if not all fuel related failures.
Gene is smart, totally competent, and can be trusted. A rare combination. He would hire a mechanic every couple of years, only to fire them 2 weeks later because he could never find anyone that would work to his high standards.
Just for grins I'll take it down until the light just turns on so I have an idea where empty really is.

If you are in KC and need a good mechanic call Gene he is doesn't have his own shop anymore but works at Vee Village and does stuff on the side.
Taking stuff to him felt like you were doing it your self but had the right tools and know how!!
