93 j30-93300zx auto trans

Ok so my friend baught a 93 j30. When i was driving it home for him(snowing) i got on the throttle abit. after i passed about 60MPH it started to vibrate seemingly from underneath me. I thought it was a wheel balance issue( Work as a C tech at nissan) however when i went to floor it it didnt rear back and go like im used to on 300ZX's and my G35 Sedan did. It instead shot the Rpms up around 6k with no power at all. Whats worse when i let off the throttle it reved down and then litterly clunked like the trans was gonna fall out.

Im pretty sure its a transmissin issue. What im asking is the auto trans for 300zx can i use it direct bolt to a j30? Any tips or help would be nice or where to find a cheap j30 trans would be awesome.

i know they are in fact the same trans however i am unsure if it is a direct fit...might have to modify bellhousing...will look into it over the weekend
