ive been working out some bugs before spending the money for a full power fc dyno tune, and the car runs pretty good untuned but today i went out on a test run and went to 7000rpm in 1st ,2nd and 3rd gear and returned to see the commander said i hit 93% injector duty cycle. is this bad? i know its not as good as 50% duty cycle but im wondering if i sdhould get bigger injectors and a q45 maf before dyno tunning as it is or is it ok to dyno tune at this level as long as no more boost is added????

80% is about as high as you would want to go. I'd do the injectors and maf before dyno.

What injectors you have now, turbine size, and MAF you are using?Basically what is your set up?

yeah anything over 80% is getting into possible lean conditions which could cause you to blow the engine. A Q45 maf doesn't like the PFC get a Z32 maf these are good for more than 550WHP. If you don't mind what turbo are you running and what are your goals. This will help better dictate what size injector you need...

i have the following mods

series 2 rb25detapexi power fc and commandergreddy manifoldq45 tbt3/t4 turbo .63 turbine side .60 compressor sidehks ssq bov 3 inch downpipeno cat 3 inch yashio factory exhuastgreddy rspl front mountkoyo radcone filter intake with 3 inch mandtrel tubing to turbo12 inch fan

and im still running the stock maf ans stock 380cc injectors.

turbo on wastegate only puts out 12.5psi so thats what im ruuning for boost pressure is 12.5.

the power fc commander has a vh maf setting for the q45 maf so i think ill run a q45 maf as the 300z maf is the same size as the rb i think , so ill go q45 maf and most likly dueschworks injectors probly 550cc.

what are your opinions on what to do?

the turbo isnt huge and im not running much boost, i didnt think it would hurt until i got the car tunned, im not driving the car alot ive only put about 15 miles on it since the turbo and power fc, thats why im asking these questions becuase i no 93% cant be good. im just looking for a little advice before i spend money on injectors and a maf and a dyno tune. i want the most for the least just like most everybody but i want it to be safe and thats why im asking , im shure there are some guys with upgraded turbos that went thru the same things and i canuuse some wisdom before dropping money on a tune.

Those injectors are too small for that turbo. It might be same amount you could run on the stock turbo, BUT! that turbo flows more are at 12psi than your stocker. Get some bigger injectors, and AFM or Turn the boost down.

im running a power fc but its running on the base program i havent dyno tunned it yet. i think im goin to get bigger injectors and a q45 maf then have it dyno tunned but what size injectors should i get? im kinda leaning towards the dueschworks 550cc injectors, are they any good? they say they come with flow charts and a warenty?

Never used them before. I have used Denso's and I have a set of Sard 800cc's that I'm going to be running.

I have only heard good things about deatschwerks and they've been responsive to my e-mails in the past. Their prices are pretty competitive too.
