My 93' Infiniti J30 has 60k miles on it and is running like crap! The check engine light is NOT on.

#1 It has delayed acceleration. Even if i floor it, it goes nowhere for a few seconds (doesn't even rev up) and then slowly starts picking up. My driveway is on a slope so i have full power 50% of the time for the first minute/ half mile. I recently had the transmission completely rebuilt and the throttle response sensor replaced. Still no difference.

#2 Once i finally get going my throttle response is on and off. My engine is revving higher than it should and shifting late. Some times on the highway it seems to slip a little.

SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP!!!! Thank You.

:welcome: to NICO!

Hard to give many recommendations based on what you're describing. My first thought is to check your fuel pressure.

Thanks Heath for your recommendation. I'll give it a shot.

Sounds like your TPS may be done or need to be relocated. A very common age related issue on these cars.

Agreed.

If the Closed Throttle switch is dead or the TPS is irrational it will cause that.
