So I have acquired a SR20DET engine and dropped it into my 1993 Infiniti G20. I am somewhat of a car noob, this is my first car ever and my first swap ever. Yeah the engine is from a RWD 240 but It can work in my FWD G20, it has been done by others. The engine came from JDM tiger japanese along with the ecu, I tried getting this baby started without the intake, Maf sensor, and all that jazz, for some reason the fuel pump is not pumping gas into the motor. Im thinking it has something to do with the fuel pump relay, The fuel pump worked fine before the swap, I checked the fuse, it was fine, and now Im thinking I have to rewire the harness... maybe a new ecu? If someone could give me some advice or answers to my problem please help.

I am also looking for stock parts, like the intake for example, which I cant find anywhere. Im running like a chicken with my head cut off...

Interesting that you say you can use a RWD SR, which I have never heard of before. Logically if you look at the two motors, the intake would be facing the wrong way for starters because the throttle body for the rwd motor is on the opposite end. Then there is the issue of the distributor. I would like to see pics of this swap myself. If you are using the a silvia ecu, then that is probably you culprit and another issue.

x2

never seen this been done before. FWD DET's and RWD DETs are different, where like said the intake mani on the RWD DET is on the right side instead of beening up to the firewall

Whoever told you that was a RWD SR20 is quite full of themselves as I suspected.

That is an Avenir SR20DET. Depending on whether it s a W10 or W11 it is either a journal bearing or ball bearing T25 turbo.

Same motor on Tigerjapanese.com

Ha, thanks for telling me, ill smack the dumbass who told me.

Where do I look to see if it is a w10 or 11? It came with the blue c8 ecu and so far im having troubles with it, should my old MAF sensor still work with the new ecu? Hopefully ill have it running tomorrow, but i still need to find an intake. I have to figure out why the fuel pump is not engaging...

Haha, so I reconnected my old computer from the old motor... the baby fired up!!

the timing is off but im missing the intake, intercooler, downpipe, exhaust and the MAF sensor was not connected.Does anyone know if I would have other problems since I am using the old ecu from the stock engine?

You can use the stock ecu, it will run pig rich though. You need a tuned ecu or a s afc to run with the stock ecu. Without hooking everything up properly you are pissing in the wind to diagnose any problems.

Scroll down to the engine specs for sr's. There are part numbers listed for the turbos. Compare them to what you have and you will have your answer.
