my friend has a 93 Hardbody that he wants to lower as much as he can in the rear and front for cheap. the front from what i've read i would just need to crank down the torsion how much would this loose? and what about the back? lowering block, shackle flips or what?

and he also wants some performance he already has an intake but can you chip these trucks or are they too old? any other suggestion for cheap performance?

also are there any other common cheap mods done to these things?

Dan

If you want to lower it right, spend the money and use drop spindles. Cranking down the Tbars will work to drop it an inch or so, but more than that is going to cause a terrible ride because there's no up travel left in the suspension, and it will constantly bottom out. Also, your alignment will be out.

Blocks in the back are cheap and easy.

See my thread 'Adding Consult Port' to get an idea about chipping these trucks. There is a lot to it starting with swapping ECUs.
