Just grab a used driveshaft of the later model out of the junkyard. Can tell if its bad or not by just pushing up on it and you can probably see some splitting in the rubber.

My vibration is also definitely present between 30 and 50 mph, but is worse under load, can't feel it much if at all if I coast or put it in neutral while rolling.

Putting it in neutral will have the same results as the wheels are spinning, essentially spinning the shaft. But will be more noticeable under load.Brew Q wrote:Wow, learn something new every day.I have the exact same problem. Not quite sure what the issue is but there were many findings and questions that came up along the way. right now I only have one thoery about where I might have gone wrong. Heres the rundown:
1. Found that the driveshaft that came with my car was actually an aftermarket replacement. Non nissan. had a new but odd looking center bearing like some of the ones on ebay ive seen.
2. While me and a buddy were mounting the replacement 1994 driveshaft we realized that we didnt pay close enough attention to the bolts that mount the front of the driveshaft to the transmission.
there are 6 bolts in total but there are only 3 holes on the driveshaft and and 3 on the other side. I lined them up and bolted them together but it doesnt look right to me as that leaves 3 bolts that arent really attached to anything but that rubber damper in between? Also the 3 bolts that are tight and holding most of the weight, seem to have just enough length to tighen? just seems a bit short to me.I hope that this is the fix cuz im out of options.
could somone possibly post a picture of an correctly mounted and bolted driveshaft on the transmission so I can see? thx in advance.
Lol. Next time I go home (Hartford, CT) Ill look you up. not too far from me there.BCC93QT wrote:Feel free to send me a case of beer for my services... Good job
