My girlfriend's G20 has four problems.1) When the A/C is turned on, the car is reluctant to rev and thus accelerate. I know turning the air on puts a little extra strain on the engine, but it bogs down horribly. Could the A/C compressor be on the verge of seizing, or what? The air still works, BTW.2) Sometimes the transmission (auto) won't shift out of first. The problem comes and goes but it hasn't happened in a while. I have no clue as to what causes it. I've changed the fluid and filter but that made no difference.3) There's a rattle from the front end (passenger's side) that won't go away. It doesn't matter if you're turning or going straight. Everything under there seems to be tight. Maybe a bad bushing somewhere?4) I don't know how much the gas tank is supposed to hold, but once I ran it until it sputtered and stalled out. The gas gauge still read about 3/8 of a tank. I refilled it w/ gas and it ran fine, but it only held about 9 gallons. The dealership where she bought it (used) said the fuel sending unit was bad. BTW, it was a GM dealer, not a Nissan/ Infiniti dealer.

And it hasn't had its every 90 day dealer check up, right.......when the oil tech brings the real techs over to catalog all the problems from things he sees.

It amazes me that people don't bring their cars into dealers to just get a list of things that are wrong....They won't make you fix them. Never heard of a dealer handcuffing owners and not letting them leave..........to find a lower hourly rate.

Hey! Take it to a dealer! I never thought of that! Okay, that was no help at all. If it was my car it would've gone to an Infiniti dealer a long time ago. But it's not my car. She took it back to the dealership where she bought it when the fuel issue started popping up. They said the fuel sending unit was bad but since it's a GM shop I won't take their word for it. Since there aren't any good import mechanics in my town, I do a lot of work for myself. As for the 90 day dealer checkup, there was no scheduled checkup. It was an "As Is No Warranty", 10-year-old, 140,000 mile, $3500 car. And yes, a car like that is gonna need some TLC to make it great. I posted the list hoping someone could point me in the right direction, not to get a smartass reply. And about going to a dealer: she can't afford the labor fees that most dealerships seem to charge, even if it's just for diagnosing the source of the problem. Next time you wanna assume I'm an idiot and reply with some garbage that is pretty much an insult to my mental capacity, don't bother.
