What is the easiest way to replace my stock exhaust with a muffler same width but about 4 inches shorter?

Go to an exhaust shop and tell them what you need. They'll lop off the old one and weld on a new one.

You could do that, but over time that epoxy is not going to hold up nearly as well as a weld.

It'll be no more than $50, and probably a lot less than that.

epoxy does not hold for long because of weathering.when you can afford just have it weld.Mine"s muffler has switched to apexi .A professional advice will be more helpful.
