I removed the IACV in hopes to just clean it and that would take care of my rough idle/stalling problem. While i had the IACV unit off I decided to try and test the solenoids. Not sure what the procedur is here but i tested the FICD solenoid. First I checked the Ohms and it showed around 80 ohms. Then I tested it with 12v and it responded well. Next I tested the AAC soleniod agian checking ohms which came up with nothing so i tried testing it with 12v and got no response. Is this the corect way to test IACV unit? If so is the AAC soleniod junk for not responding to 12v? After cleaning and testing the IACV I reinstalled it and there was no chancge.

:welcome: to NICO!

There are procedures for checking the valve in the factory service manual. Check out EF&EC 116-117, and EF&EC 180-181.

I had to right click the link and "save as" to save the .pdf to my computer to get it to open... http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/

Good luck!
