Hey all,

I have a digital dash/HUD coupe, and a couple days ago, my tach and coolant temp gauges both went out at the same time.

The speedo and fuel work fine, and the interior lights take the same amount of time to warm up as usual, so I'm at a loss. Any Ideas on what might have caused this? You help is much appreciated.

You have the same setup as me! (93 w/ blacktop) er anyway. Check the connections that come off the ECU into the dash. There are two separate wires for coolant temp and tach. The colors are:Yellow / Red stripe - Tachometer signalYellow / Green stripe - Speedometer signal Orange - Ignition start Black (may be more than one ground) - GroundBlue / Green stripe - AC signal Blue / Black stripe - Water temp signal

I have no experience with the HUD so i don't know the known quirks they have. Mine are analog. You can also try replacing the dash coolant temp sensor. Below the throttle body, you'll see two sensors, the one with 2 wires is the ECU temp signal. The one with ONE wire is the dash temp sensor. You can go to any Nissan dealer and pick up this one-wire sensor. Just make sure you get the 91-94 KA24DE. The 95-98 S14 sensor won't be accurate. GL

Thanks for the info sir.

I'm going to get into it this weekend and see if I can't work that out.

More info to come.
