93 Altima keeps blowing "electrical parts" fuse

Hey guys...

my winter beater is a 93 altima and just the other night on the highway I blew the "electircal parts" fuse on the fuse block (the one on the bottom left of the fuse block under the dash)

I replaced the fuse and it was fine for a few days but now it keeps blowing fuses as soon as you start the car. it puts the automatic transmission in safe mode and wont shift through the forward gears. it stays in second gear and makes it really difficult to get moving.

any idea why i would keep blowing fuses. i even tried putting in a higher amp fuse.

It could be an over draw in the system. As far as putting a higher amperage fuse in there, that's not a great idea as it can start a fire.
