93 Altima just lost ALL power at stop sign

I was trying to drive to the store and didn't even get one block to the stop sign and the car just died. Lost all power, not just gas. I immediately turned it back on and reversed back home and came online to check on the problem. I had the heat and lights on, the lights weren't dim or anything. I have small children and no man to save me at the moment. What could it be besides maybe a loose battery cable, which it isn't. Everything was running great prior to this. Thank you.

Ok, I drove it to autozone and they checked the battery and alternator. The alternator was good. He said that since the battery had a low load it's probably from the corrosion. He told me the idle was low, but that's how it's always been. Any ideas now? I will clean off the corrossion and have the battery taken out and reckecked.

Do you have any trouble codes, check your distributor too. Sometimes oil enters the dist and causes the car to stall at stop signs.
