93 Altima having trouble getting it out of park.

I've noticed the problem about two weeks ago. Sometimes it only takes about 10 seconds to get it out of park but recently the problem is increasing.

does it feel overly stiff when putting into park? could be the shift cable binding or in need of lube.you do hear the click of the shift lock relay (key on, engine off, foot on brake)?
