93' alternator compatibility

Need to help a freind replace his alternator in his 93' j30 and was wondering what years are compatibile when looking for one in the junk yards.

I'm pretty sure its the same alternator for all years. Stick to Nissan OEM alternators. Aftermarket ones are known to cause issues.

I have had one from autozone in going on a year + now The seller installed it prior to selling me the car, It has a lifetime replacement warranty Puts out 14+ volts with lights on at 1500 rpm. There are only 2 cars that use this alternator so most likely all of the rebuilds started as OEM. The quality of the rebuild parts will make the difference.
