93-98 Altima 2.4 Compatability

Hi first time poster here .. I was wondering if anyone could tell me with certainty if a alternator from a 98 altima g will work on my girlfriends 94 altima gxe assuming the 98 is a 2.4 which i don't know yet. but lets say it is. . You see there's a local parts car and it would save tons of money.
