Fuel Pump in my 93 300zTT wont turn on. I replaced it a few weeks ago and everything was working fine for about a 10days now the car wont start again and the fuel pump doesn’t turn on again? Could it be the fuel pump again? Any other ideas? Thanks

Check for power and ground at the pump harness. If you have it then most likely it is a bad pump. Are you using a factory pump or aftermarket?

Factory pump, there is no power at the pump so I was thinking it could be the fuel control module, or bad wiring someplace ?

Yep your on it! Check your fuse if you havent already. There is a fuel pump relay under the hood. Check to see if you have power there too. You could swap that relay with another matching one just to see if thats your problem. Remeber though when your testing for power it will only power up in the 5 sec of turning the key and while cranking/running. Other then that it shuts off the power to the pump. Also very important ,make sure your using a volt meter and not a test like.

i swapped out my friends fuel pump control module and that didn’t change anything so i am moving on to the idle air control valve (do u know where exactly the idle air control valve is) and how much resistance should it have when the engine is cold? thanks

Today my friend came over and re-checked the voltage (apparently I was using a wrong or bad ground) but anyway turns out power was goin go the pump. so we took it out and tested it to a battery and it never started to spin loosk like it got clogged, when looing in the gas tank there is a lot sediment and grime in at the bottom. So I guess I am gonna get a new pump and if it turns out to be the problem I don’t want this to keep happening any suggestions or input on this situation? Thanks a lot I really appreciate you help. Get as much of the fuel as you can out of the tank then soak up the remaining traces of fuel with a couple old car wash sponges. discard them when your done. Let the tank dry out for a day. then use a vaccum cleaner with long attachment to suck up the setiment. Do not suck up fuel, make sure the tank is dry before you use the vaccum cleaner in it. Be carfuel with the edge of the tank when doing this its very sharp, I usually use a vaccum hose split down it length to place over the lip of the tank when working in it.
