93 300zx TT Help, Will not stay cranked!

So my problem i am having right now is that my car will not stay cranked. When the car is idling it will shut off about 5-10 seconds of cranking the car. At first, when trying to drive the car with this issue, the car will backfire, not letting you go any further and cutting the car off when you come to a stop. Not exactly sure what the problem may be so decided to see what you all may think. Any advice is greatly appreciated thanks.

You mean it won't idle? If that's the case, trimming adjustment is needed. Your timing is way off. Hook up a timing light if you have one, or take it to a shop. Set the timing at 15 Before Top Dead Center

Also check if you are misfiring.

I would say it is backfiring but i guess could also be considered missfiring. Srry for the late reply, but when ever it cranks, itll stay on while im reving, but once i stop the car dies. Not to sure, friend thinks its the fuel pump but just wanting more feedback.
