93 300zx Timing Issue?

Car: 93 300zx na headache (two of them).

I recently replaced the engine ( used long block ). It cranks fine until it gets fuel/spark then it acts like its too far advanced. If it had a distributor, you'd have to retard it. Checked everything with the wiring to think of. Traced everything back to the brain box. Any ideas anyone? Its been down for two + years and would like to drive it......someday. Thanx in advance.

The CAS is adjustable just like rotating a distributor. Are you sure the physical timing is correct? Also moving this to the correct, Z32 section.
