93 240SX : Strange Sounds

I picked up a 93 240 not too long ago as my first car. I was hoping to start off with a few mods, just to make things interesting, but something has me concerned. I'm still new to it and all, so I was hoping you guys could help a bit. My car doesn't really sound like a 240, or even a car at all, in my opinion.

Any time the car is running it makes some sound similar to a huge fan. It's pretty damn loud. Also, the car pulls harder and accelerates a lot quicker than my friends' 240s. According to the guy I bought it from, it's completely stock.. so I don't know.

Any ideas?

Some KA24DE's (the motor inside a 240sx) were known for some to have more power than your standard KA. Also, your car could be in much better shape than there's. I know my first 240 didn't pull nearly as hard as my current 240 did and they had the same amount of miles and pretty much same condition motor.

AH ha ha ha ! the motor in your car is actually the same as the motors in some of nissans trucks. The loud fan noise you hear is the clutch fan on the motor. most newer cars use electric fans, as a way to free up HP. Every thing is normal.if your car pulls harder than another 240, its probly because you have the 91-97 KA24DE and they have the 89-90 KA24E motor, do some searching and you'll learn the differences in the two.91-97 years ........................................... 89-90 years

ya, could be the whole completely different years = compeltely different motors thing.... haha... kinda expected him to know that though
