:help

I have a 1993 240sx SE with the Active Speaker setup.

I've read other information on the board regarding stereo replacement but I'm still a little confused. I'm hoping you guys can help me clear things up.

As far as I know, the speakers are stock. The head unit was replaced with a Kenwood unit and cd-changer by the previous owner, but I'm going to be replacing it with a Pioneer head unit, along with Pioneer speakers in the front and rear.

I've heard the Active Speaker system has two amps up front and one in the rear for the stock speakers. I've also heard they're kinda trashy and I should bypass them.

My main question is this: How do I install the speakers? I basically need to know what needs to happen with the stock amps, and what I need to do to bypass them, coming from my Pioneer head unit to the speakers. Be as detailed as you can when responding... I'm no pro at car stereo systems...

Thanks!!!!!!

Just run wires straight from the headunit to the speakers, thats the only way to bypass it all, or you can buy an external aftermarket amp, and run the wires straight from it.
