93 240sx SE transmission grind

on my 93 240 everytime i shift into 2nd it likes to grind. does anyone know wats causing this and wat can i do to fix this? it doesnt do it when its cold, only after its been running for about 10 minutes then it does it. any solutions?

Sounds like your syncros are dying. You could try running some heavier lube in the trans. Otherwise it's going to need rebuilt/replaced.

is there any way i could just get new synchros? if so how much would something like that cost?

You could probably get them from a trans shop, or online somewhere. I didn't turn up any with a quick search, but I'm sure they're out there. You have to pull the trans and completely disassemble it to change them though... You can pick up used KA 5speeds for less than $100 all day long, so I'd probably just find a good trans and swap it.
