93 240sx SE Convertible Cracked Winsdshield!

I am now an owner of a 1993 240sx SE Convertible. Automatic for Now..

Windshield has a crack going horizontally about 6-8 inches long. Needs replacement.

Any ideas where I can get a replacement? Is it a hard to find item? Or could I just use one from a regular 240sx?

you would prolly be surpised the varietty of vehicles you can get the window from...i dont know who you would call about finding out tho try googleing it

w/heads up display:Has a silver reflective square in the lower driver side corner for the coupes and hatchs that had the heads up unit. If you plan on swapping for heads up later you might consider getting it.

w/o heads up display"Doen't have the silver sticker, the stock window for all verts and non heads up coupes and hatchs

i just replaced the windshield in my vert last week. i checked on the new HUD windshield and the list price is around $1300. fortunately, my parts coupe had HUD, so i just used that one. since i'm rocking a super sweet HUD windshield, i might as well do the HUD conversion. i just need to find the sub-harness for the projector...

if you have any desire to put HUD in your car, you're going to want the HUD windshield - try to find a used one. have an expert remove and install!

i got a quote for $165 for a new windshield installed from a local place where i live (non - HUD of course). call all the autoglass people in your phonebook and see who gives you the best price. the most expensive i heard was $225 installed. if you can get it under $200, you might as well get a new one.

meh hud windshield isn't worth the cost... cadillac or takakaira both sell the same film that is sandwiched in there for like $30

I didn't go with the hud. Got a brand new windshield install. for $170..and they came to my house.

The main reason for thread was if the ver shared same windshield as rest of 240's and it does!

if your in the miami area when my frind broke my windshied in my 1st ver i went to chepo glass and i think it was between 100 and 150 for parts and labor
