'93 240sxS13 BlacktopZ32 MAFApexi Power FC

Recently I've been having wierd idle problems. I found out my Power FC had been set for a VH41 MAF, now the idle was always high but the throttle response never stuttered. A while back I was able to fix the high idle because of a TPS problem and managed to set the idle where I wanted using the Power FC.

Now, a week later, the idle started jumping up and down, from 1500-2500, at a stop. I brought it back to the mechanic and he found another exposed wire on the TPS and fixed it, but still the same idle. He looked at the Power FC and saw it was set for a VH41 MAF when I have a Z32 MAF, so he set it to the VG30 MAF like it should be.

Now the car idles where I set it on the Power FC, but it has a slight studdering in the exhaust note, the engine sits fine, just exhaust studdering. And when I press the accelerator in neutral it hesitates then picks up. If I set it back to the VH41 MAF the hesitation when pressing the accelerator hoes away, but the idle goes up and down.

I want to know if maybe there is a problem with my MAF which is causing the car to sputter a little at idle and hesitate when pressing the accelerator, or if possibly its just running slightly rich at idle. But if so, why doesn't it hesitate when pressing the accelerator when I use the VH41 setting?

**Once the car is rolling there is no problem when using either setting. Its just at idle and pressing the accelerator in neutral or starting off.**

Thanks, I know its a lot and kinda confusing, but I want to describe it in detail.
