Hey guys, I have some more problems with my poor neglected 240. Since I've last posted I've had the alternator replaced again (it shouldn't only last a year, huh?).

And a week later (3 days ago) my wife was driving it, she got about 20 miles out and it started running roughly at idle, and smoothing out a bit at about 3k rpm. Immediately after there was a drastic loss in power. She said that it took the pedal to the floor just to get up to 50mph, and then smoke came out of the vents and into the car itself.

I think the car is toast, and it's too much of a hassle to keep flogging a dead horse. When I get the tow truck out to pick it up I'll get some pics of it. The paint is in pretty rough shape but it's not rusted, the body is great, never been in an accident. The top is a little saggy. What do you guys think would be a good price to ask for since it's going to have to be sold as is? I'm not really interested in parting it out, I just want it gone. I figure someone will want it for a swap or something. Thanks!

Sorry to hear that, dont give up yet. I think in its current condition you could maybe get $1000

Power loss is most likely from the bad injector.

- Pull out spark plug wires one by one to find out which cylinder is not firing.- Check coolant if any oil in it.- See if there's any coolant leak. This might have cause white smoke. I think vent was set outside air in.

KA is a strong motor, so it doesn't go bad that easy.

I had this exact problem,

New fuel injector and spark plug wires fixed it!
