i was replacing a vacuum hose on my 93' 240 and when it was running i moved the hose to make sure it was on tight. i bumped a wireset coming from the [fuel rail?] and the cars idle dropped bad at started shaking. then when i wiggled it some more and the idle kept acting rough, then the idle would jump to about 1500. the wires goes from the rail to the fanshoud under the air intake piping, then one goes to the maf and the other goes somewhere on the bottom half of the car. i wiggled that side and they were just fine. ive been noticing the car acts funny sometimes when im taking off from a stand still, so maybe thats the problem? i dont know if its missing those times or if those wires are effin up the idle... help me out, ive been searching all day and didnt come up with wire problems from this section.

k&n cone filter, plugged AIV,dumped exhaust, ngk plugs/wires,dont know if thats helps but thanks in advance

You have accidently found your problem. Searching for this problem if you had run problems can be tough but your have already done the hard part by hitting those wires by accident. Try to find the exact location by moving the wires gently in that area till you find the place the smallest movement effects the problem, where ever that is check the wire connections carfully make sure theres no corrosion in connector terminals or under grounds. If you find all the connections are ok in the immediate area you may have to break open the harness and locate the splice that is looses. Nissan does not soldier the splice joints in the harnesses they mearly crimp them with a sleeve. Go fpor the connections first though as it is more common.

well, theres about 3 connectors right past the fuel rail, before it goes down around by the maf and stuff, and im not sure how to check each one, since you really have to move the whole cluster to get the car to idle crappy, i just cant pinpoint it... is there any way i can check the connectors for power or should i just clean them and see? thanks

Check your ground on the maf. It should be less then.2volts If it is any higher then that you need to add an additional ground to that wire. Also look at your coolant temp connection for corrosion.
